Unique Window
I have this beautiful window in the front of our house. When we come down our stairs you have this bright window. I like the sunlight coming in but I don't like the feeling that people driving by can see in. So this is what I came up with. I found an old window at The Wood Shack for a great price. Then I went to Glass Link to pick out replacement glass. They cut it to size for me so all I had to do was get the old glass out (easier said than done). I bought 2 hooks and some chain to hang and it's perfect!
Ugly Light Made Pretty!
We had a really ugly light in our dinning room. My before picture is really poor but it was a brown color with super ugly shades. I thought for sure I was going to have to go shopping for a light fixture! I took off the shades and painted it with left over paint from by Grandma's hutch I posted earlier.
I love it! See the curtains in the background? I made those too! Those will be posted soon too! |

Ruffle Curtain $10 per panel
I found the cutest curtains for my daughters room but they were like $89 a piece. So of course I researched a cheaper way to accomplish the same look. I found a tutorial on http://aboyagirlandapug.blogspot.com.

Garbage Can Scrunchy
I saw this on Pinterest and fell in love with it. Here is the link if you want to make this Garbage Can Scrunchy. One difference in mine is I used regular fabric and she used laminated fabric. I went to Ace and bought the 20 gallon metal garbage can-I think it was $20. This was a fun and easy project!

Thrift Store Dinning Room Table and Chairs
I use to make fun and be embarrassed because my mom would bring home "treasures" aka peoples' junk. I swore I would never, ever-not in a million years do that. Well, guess what I found...two tables at Cherished Again in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
My husband was less than thrilled with me when he saw what I picked out. But guess what he didn't see this in his mind.......

Grandma's Old Hutch
I forgot to take a before picture on this one but it was a olive green color. I fell in love with this color Gem Turquoise from Behr Paint. I painted it then used some of the left over glaze from the cabinet project. This really brought out the details in the hutch cabinet.
My First Project!
