Ruffle Curtain $10 per panel

I found the cutest curtains for my daughters room but they were like $89 a piece.  So of course I researched a cheaper way to accomplish the same look.  I found a tutorial on http://aboyagirlandapug.blogspot.com
Here is my inspiration picture.....
So stinking cute-right?!
Here is what I came up with......
Not too shabby for two Wal-Mart twin sheets!

Another Kitchen Table & Chair Re-Do!

Garbage Can Scrunchy

I saw this on Pinterest and fell in love with it.  Here is the link if you want to make this Garbage Can Scrunchy.  One difference in mine is I  used regular fabric and she used laminated fabric. I went to Ace and bought the 20 gallon metal garbage can-I think it was $20.  This was a fun and easy project!

Gotta Love Craigs List!

I love finding cool things on Craig's list.  I love selling things on Craig's list too!  I found this cool computer Armour for $140.  It was just a little boring for my taste so of course I wave my magical wand......

Thrift Store Dinning Room Table and Chairs

I use to make fun and be embarrassed because my mom would bring home "treasures" aka peoples' junk.  I swore I would never, ever-not in a million years do that.  Well, guess what I found...two tables at Cherished Again in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Metal base table, with 4 chairs and two leaves

4 blah chairs and a table with two leaves
My husband was less than thrilled with me when he saw what I picked out.  But guess what he didn't see this in his mind.......

Gray and Dark Charcoal with distress top.  The fabric is  Joel Dewberry is has mustered yellow, grey and white!

Before and After.  This is one chair.  I upholstered each chair with a different fabric and white washed them.   I'll upload more pictures later

Here is the round table with the 2 leaves.  Great for entertaining!

Grandma's Old Hutch

I forgot to take a before picture on this one but it was a olive green color.  I fell in love with this color Gem Turquoise from Behr Paint.  I painted it then used some of the left over glaze from the cabinet project.  This really brought out the details in the hutch cabinet.

My First Project!

My first large project was to paint our kitchen cabinets.  They actually were perfectly fine cabinets, but it wasn't original to the home and there was just too much wood going on in my mind.  So I went to Home Depot and purchased the Rust-Oleum Cabinet Transformations kit. I bought the Dark Color Kit and then you choose a color form the top of the box.  I like the "Castle" color.  We also added white subway tile for the back splash.  As you can see too, I got new new counter tops.  They are actually concrete!  A new local business called Urban Concrete did this work.  I highly recommend looking into this if you are remodeling your kitchen!

Having so much fun!

Okay, so as if 5 kids and an awesome job in which I work mostly from home doesn't take up most of my time, I have decided to blog.  I am not a fan of a bunch of words so I will get right to the point.  We bought a terrific 100 year old farm house (with 10 chickens, 2 cats and a dog).  It has wicked awesome wood work but was decorated "country".  Not really my style.  I don't know what my style is, but I am going to use this blog to keep track of and show you what is pouring out of my mind.  My goal is to show you as many before and after photos as well as tutorials.  I have so many ideas and never enough time to get them done. I didn't think I was "crafty" but I am having the time of my life.  I hope this inspires some of you to try new things!  If I can do it...so can you! Enjoy!
